Led by William Cobb author of A Walk Through Fire a
coming of age story set in southern Alabama during the
1960’s civil right movement. Cobb a noted playwright,
author, and 2007 recipient of the Harper Lee Lifetime
Achievement award will lead a lecture comparing and
contrasting the themes of To Kill A Mockingbird with his
novel “ A Walk Through Fire.”

Join us as PASA continues their pre-performance "Creative Conversations" series with U.L.L's Dr. Mary Ann Wilson as she discusses the Big read Acadiana novel "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. Dr. Wilson's talk will focus on the play adapation of Lee's novel and its differences from the book and the Academy Award-winning Horton Foote Screenplay.
This discussion is free to ticket holders of the October 18 evening performance of "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Montana Reperatory Theater Company.

PASA presents: Porgy and Bess: From Drama to Destiny, a teen discussion

PASA will host a teen summit at Progressive Baptist Church Community Center. Area high school students are invited to participate as panelists in the teen discussion. The summit will focus on similar social challenges faced by the characters from Porgy and Bess and how it relates to teens today.This event will be moderated by local poet and actress Katrina Auzenne, and co-moderated by Lafayette City-Parish Councilman Kenneth Boudreaux.
