A spectacular blend of physical theatre, circus, athleticism, and comedy, Momix makes its first appearance in Acadiana with "Botanica," an evening-long piece filled with birds, bees, bugs, trees, dinosaurs and flowers. See the excitement that props, light, shadow, humor and the human body can create!

“The Three S’s: Sunflowers, Symmetry and Science”

Inspired by the delightful sunflowers of master artist Vincent Van Gogh educators will explore creative ways to teach about the life cycle of plants and plant part identification. This hands-on 3-D project also introduces Big Ideas of pattern and shape identification as well as organizing data. The workshop leaders provide participants with several opportunities for Language Arts connections. Easy-to-obtain materials make this a well-rounded arts integration workshop.
