Charley G’s to celebrate 25th Anniversary with PASA

Lafayette (LA)- Charley G’s, one of south Louisiana's premier restaurants, will opens its doors on Sunday, August 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to celebrate its 25th anniversary with food, music and libations in a party in support of the Performing Arts Society of Acadiana (PASA). The benefit bash will fund PASA's L. Hill Bonin, Jr. Scholarship Fund.

Charley G's menu favorites, paired with complimentary wine and great live music, are included in the ticket price of $50. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased online at www.pasaonline.org, by calling the PASA office at 337 237-2787, or at Charley G’s restaurant at 3809 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy, Lafayette, La.

Since opening its doors in 1985, Charley G’s restaurant has enticed diners with a delectable menu, extensive wine collection, knowledgeable staff and impeccable service. The restaurant operates under the helm of owner Charles Goodson, Director of Operations Courtney Vincent and Holly Goetting, Executive Chef. A culinary staple in Acadiana, Charley G’s is known for creating a specialized dining experience that delights and entices novices and experienced food and wine connoisseurs. On many a night, locals can be found enjoying gourmet food and live entertainment is a part of the scene four nights out of the week.

Charles Goodson, Owner of Charley G’s says, “We are celebrating 25 wonderful years and we thought a great way to do that would be to have a fun event at our restaurant.”  Goodson continues, “We want to invite the public to celebrate with us and to let them know that our commitment to the community extends to our support of the performing arts and the important programming that organizations like PASA bring to the Acadiana Community.”

PASA’s Hill Bonin, Jr. Scholarship Fund annually awards talented young artists pursuing professional performing arts training beyond the traditional academic setting.  Hill Bonin was one of PASA's charter board members and former president. His love of the performing arts and other pursuits of excellence were honored with the creation of this fund through the leadership of his wife, Joyce Bonin, her children, and PASA board members.

Jackie Lyle, PASA’s Executive Director says, “We are honored that Charlie Goodson and Charley G’s have decided to commemorate their anniversary celebration with PASA and support our performing arts scholarship. This event is a great way to celebrate one of Lafayette’s finest restaurants and support a PASA program that supports professional development opportunities for students pursuing a career in the performing arts.”
