PASA brings 99 reasons to party to The Office

Lafayette (La) - The Performing Arts Society of Acadiana (PASA) turns 21 this year and plans to celebrate in style with its “99 reasons to Party,”  from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 29 at The Office on Jefferson Street in downtown Lafayette.

At The Office party, DJ Otto will be spinning music and Champagne and appetizers are on the house. A special video installation by Vidox and Event Rentals will showcase artists from the upcoming PASA season. Party-goers, who purchase season tickets that evening, will be entered to win several fabulous door prizes. This year’s season includes: Momix--a dance company; Stefon Harris and Blackout; Soledad Barrio and Noche Flamenca; an evening with Bela Fleck, Zakir Hussain and Edgar Meyer and the fantastic Aluminum Show. Performances begin in October and run through April. Area merchants that donated door prizes include: The Blue Moon, A Spot of Tea: Tea Room, Brothers, Social Denim and Caroline and Co.

“We're ready to have some fun at The Office, meet some new friends and visit with old ones, as we kick off our new season that will take place at the Heymann Center," says PASA's executive director Jacqueline Lyle.

Tickets for all of PASA's Heymann Center events will be on sale at the party, including those for the October 15 performance by iconic folk singer Judy Collins and sensational jazz trumpeter Chris Botti on February 20.

“PASA brings the greatest performers to our fans. Some are traditional artists and some--like Momix and the Aluminum Show--are so inventive," says Lyle. "Judy Collins and Chris Botti are two of the most talented and respected artists alive and we are so excited to see them live in concert. Come join us at The Office, buy your tickets and plan to have more great nights out with PASA.”

“99 Reasons to Party” will be at The Office, located at 307 Jefferson Street. The event is free and open to the public, no reservations are necessary.
