Girl Scouts Opera Workshop
On Sept. 21, 2002, PASA conducted its 10th Girl Scout Opera Badge Workshop. The Acadiana Council is one of only two in the nation offering an opera badge to Girl Scouts. Girls attend a Saturday workshop to learn about opera, and then attend a PASA opera presentation as a group. As part of the learning process, participants invent their own opera plot based on a story with which they are familiar, including assigning voice roles and determining settings, characters and special effects. This group is shown working on its ideas for an opera that would be based on the Harry Potter stories.

PASA Backstage Pass Study Guides

PASA's staff prepares "Backpage Pass" study guides for each of the performances in the PASA/Capital One Daytime Performance Series for Students. These study guides are printed courtesy of the Daily Advertiser and distributed to teachers and students in advance of the event so that they can study and prepare and get maximum value from attending these events. Additional copies are made to share with members of the general public.
